Thursday's don't feel as special

Still very sore today from the weight workout, so I cancelled tomorrow's session with Doug. He was very understanding, smiling devilishly when I told him I was still so sore. Need to keep stretching.

Dinner last night turned out well - although I burned some of my fingers with steam coming from the pressure cooker. All those unheaded warnings from the cookbooks - well, they'll be headed hereinafter.

Here's a picture of the granola bars CC made last weekend. Super delicious, with honey, almonds, and cashews - I think we'll make more next weekend and include some dried fruit.

That's all for today.

Thursday night used to mean drinks later when CC got home from work. Relaxing with cocktails in anticipation of the weekend.
It's odd - I'm not missing the vodka/drinks so much, but I do miss having a ritual. I need a new ritual.

I know it's a little frigid to do this at the moment, but I have an idea for a ritual that will benefit everyone in the household in terms of health and interest. Once it warms up, why not take Maggie for a walk - good exercise for all of you and Maggie will be stimulated by all the wonderful smells and sights the city has to offer (from a dog's perspective, anyway), and it's a great way to unwind.

Ooh, that is good for warmer weather! As for now...hmm...

Hey, how about making ginsengtinis?? You could make fresh juice in the juicer and add shots of ginseng. Might give you a buzz, but mostly it would give you the feeling that you're having something special together.

Or another thing could be to play Wii together...

Or you could learn a new card game or some other kind of game together, something neither of you knows how to play...

OK, that's all I got for now. Should tide you over till it's warm enough to go strolling with Magpie!
